Hi,
I recently signed up for the Civic Garden Center's Volunteer-A-Thon...and I'd love your support!
From July 31 to November 20, I'm tracking the hours I volunteer with the CGC and asking friends and family to sponsor me. You can pledge any amount you like per hour or workday, or just make a flat contribution in honor of my service. Every little bit helps!
Here's a little about the CGC, if you don't yet know them. It was founded in 1942 by two women who wanted to help people build Victory Gardens during World War II. The work they do is all about supporting gardening anywhere and everywhere, encouraging a love of nature, and helping people to be good stewards of the environment through horticulture, conservation, and urban agriculture. You can learn more about them here: civicgardencenter.org
During this Volunteer-A-Thon, the CGC is holding workdays on their grounds at Hauck Botanic Garden and in community gardens and greenspaces around Cincinnati, running volunteer-facilitated field trips for elementary school students, hosting their annual Fall Native Plant Festival (a huge volunteer lift), and more. I'm really excited to be a part of it, and I hope you'll support my efforts!
Are you willing to sponsor me? If so, just let me know (1) how much you want to pledge and (2) whether you want to pledge that amount per hour I volunteer, per workday I attend, or as a one-time amount in support of my participation. When the Volunteer-A-Thon is over, I'll reach out with details about how to make your donation.
Thank you!
