Summer camp isn’t just for kids!
Want to build your horticulture skills and knowledge in a relaxed, playful setting? Join us for Horticulture Summer Camp!
This seven-week educational experience led by CGC Horticulturist Julie brings adults out into the garden to rediscover the magic of summer while learning the fundamentals of horticulture. We'll explore topics related to soil health, plant biology, backyard ecology and garden maintenance. No matter your age or skill level, we’ll help you find the joy in gardening!
Each week will feature a mix of classroom time, games and outdoor activities. The series will conclude with a capstone garden designed and planted in Hauck Botanic Garden by you and your fellow campers!
WHO IT'S FOR: New homeowners, the horticulture-curious, those looking for a less intensive alternative to the Master Gardener program—really, anyone who doesn't take themselves too seriously and wants to learn while making connections with other gardeners! The ability to kneel and use hand tools is recommended but not required.
WHEN & WHERE: Saturdays from June 13 to August 1 (except July 4), 9am-12pm at the Civic Garden Center
