Introduction to Native Plants

Native plants are the cornerstone of healthy ecosystems. They provide essential habitat, improve soil structure and are well adapted to our climate. This basic overview class will focus on healthy ecosystems and highlight some of our favorite native plants. We'll start by introducing specific plants, then take a walk around the Civic Garden Center's grounds to see some natives in the landscape.
