Whatever your level of nature awareness or bird knowledge, you’re invited to join us on this birdwatching, nature-loving journey. Don’t think you have any nature near you? The birds will show you otherwise!
This introductory class will explore the who, where, how and why of birding. You'll learn about bird biology and flight, local birds seen in our area, and some cool bird facts. And we’ll show you how to use binoculars as well as ways to find birds without them.
This class will start indoors, but then we'll spend much of the morning outside! Please dress in layers for the day's weather conditions and wear sturdy, close-toed shoes that can get dirty. Meet at the Civic Garden Center building.
Instructor: Gia Giammarinaro, Park Naturalist at Cincinnati Parks and cohost of the Nature Guys Podcast
