Did you know that the CGC partners with 20+ school gardens? These gardens are championed and maintained by incredible teachers and staff on top of their other responsibilities.
We have the opportunity to support this work directly at the Taft High School Garden. We'll be helping to weed, unload wood chips, and generally clean up the garden in preparation for the start of school. This is a great chance to see what goes into creating a school garden and how the space supports students!
No experience needed! Closed-toed shoes and long pants are recommended. Please bring a refillable water bottle, bug spray and/or sunscreen, gardening gloves, and appropriate clothing for the weather. All other tools and gardening materials will be provided.
This event counts toward our 2026 Volunteer-A-Thon!
